George deMontigny Jr., 68, of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2026. He was born on May 13, 1957, in Nashua, NH, the son of George deMontigny Sr. and Louise (Covey) deMontigny. George was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1975.
George was the devoted husband of Emelie (Boucher) deMontigny, with whom he shared 28 years of marriage. In his younger years, he was employed by the Green Ridge Turkey Farm and later he worked for many years as a machine maintenance worker at Teradyne, where he was known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skills.
In his free time, George greatly enjoyed traveling and camping in his motorhome, visiting destinations such as the Grand Canyon and Nashville. He had a lifelong appreciation for heavy equipment, especially backhoes, and took great pride in machinery of all kinds. He was a member of the Nashua Elks Lodge. George was also a car enthusiast and proudly owned a 1976 Ford Gran Torino "Starsky & Hutch" edition, a vehicle he absolutely treasured after purchasing it in the 1970s.
George will be remembered for his hands-on nature, his love of travel and machines, and his loyalty to family, friends, and community.
In addition to his wife Emelie and mother Louise, George is survived by his sister Sharon Malone and her husband Jim of Nashua; as well as his nephew Patrick and Colin Malone of Hooksett.
George was predeceased by his father and baby brother Bruce deMontigny.
Family and friends are invited to George's visitation on Monday January 12th from 10 AM until 12 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street Nashua. His funeral service will follow at 12 PM. Interment will take place following the service at Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in George's name to the American Cancer Society at their website or the American Heart Association .
