Joan E. McGovern, passed away on July 13, 2026. Daughter of the late Kathleen McGovern of Waltham MA and the late John B. McGovern of Sutton NH.  Beloved sister of Gerald F. of Weston, MA and the late John P. of Waltham, MA, William C. of Auburn MA, and Joseph I. of Silver Spring, MD.

A graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Boston with a RN.  Boston University BS and MS in nursing.  Worked in Tiawan, California, and New Orleans before returning to her beloved New Hampshire several years ago.  She became "auntie" to her nieces and nephews and their families.

A private family service was held.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Eliot Hospital or Dana Farber would be much appreciated.
