John A. Eppolito Sr., 86, passed away on Good Friday, April 15, 2022, at his home in the presence of his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of late Joan C. (Mills) Eppolito with whom he shared 46 wonderful years of marriage.

John was born in LeRoy, NY on June 11, 1935, and was the only son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Chilano) Eppolito.  He attended LHS and graduated with the Class of 1954.  During his years there he was very active in sports and was inducted into the LeRoy Hall of Fame in 2016.  John was dedicated to his community. He served the town of LeRoy as a Trustee and the Commissioner of Recreation.  John and his wife raised their family in LeRoy, NY, and then later moved to Hudson, NH.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He worked many years in the Telecommunications Field, finishing his career at BAE in Nashua, NH.  John was a Catholic man of great faith. He was an active member of both Parishes he belonged to: St. Joseph's in LeRoy, NY and St. Kathryn's in Hudson, NH. He was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. John was a friend to all who needed him and a great example to others.  He loved sports and coached football at many different levels.  John was a loyal member of the Elks Lodge. He will always be remembered as a hardworking and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loving brother and brother-in-law.

John is survived by his three sons; Joseph Eppolito of Bridgewater, NH, Dr. John Eppolito and his wife Claire of Bridgewater, NH, and James Eppolito and his wife Lucy of Nashua, NH; his daughter, Sr. Janet Eppolito pm, of Hudson, NH; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ashley, Jack, Francis, Nevaeh, and Alex, and a great-grandchild, Hazel.  He is also survived by his sister, Celia Citanovich of LeRoy, NY.

John is predeceased by two sisters, Clara Privitera and Patty Lathan.

Family and friends are invited to John's visitation on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 1-3PM and 7-9PM at St. Kathryn's Catholic Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson, NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 10:30am, at St. Kathryn's Catholic Church. Burial will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 12 PM at St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy, NY.
