Joseph Henri Donald Doucet, 87, of Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024. Born on July 27, 1937, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Romeo and Florida (nee Emond) Doucet.  A long-time resident of Nashua, NH, he eventually retired to Melbourne, Florida where he enjoyed the sunshine and ocean.

A proud veteran, Joseph served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his service, he dedicated his professional career to aerospace work as a scheduler and planner at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.  He was a man defined by his work ethic. He was a good provider for his family and instilled in his children the virtues of hard work and discipline.

Outside of work, Joseph was a man of faith and simple joys. He was a devout Catholic and loved attending Mass.  He found enjoyment tending to his garden, fishing, and spending time at the beach. He loved to read, listen to music and always had a good joke to tell, his laughter was contagious.

There was nothing Joseph couldn't fix or renovate, and he was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.  For over 30 years he was a "Friend of Bill," sponsoring many people within his community, offering guidance, compassion, and support.  He was a catalyst for change for hundreds of people who desired a better life.

Joseph is survived by his children, Michael (Cindy) Doucet, Matthew (Kerry) Doucet, Brian (Jennifer) Doucet, and Maura Jean (Rodney) Pitman and their mother, Marcia Doucet (nee Conway); his siblings, Jeanette McDermott, Diane Walsh, Norman Doucet, and Ronnie Doucet. His legacy also continues in his grandchildren: Samantha, Eric, Justine, Simon, Lydia, Cora, Abigail, Ian, Emma, Jack, Lily, and Brady; along with his great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Lindsey, Allie, Claire and Wyser.

He was predeceased by his brother, Roger Doucet, and his parents, Romeo and Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph's visitation on FRIDAY, July 18th from 10-11 a.m. at Parish of the Resurrection Church, 449 Broad St., Nashua. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. The family will conduct a private interment and presentation of military honors on FRIDAY, July 18th at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
