Joseph “Joey” P. Marini, 46, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Nashua on September 11, 2026. Joey was born on June 18, 1980, in Newton, Massachusetts, to Joseph and Maria (Clementi) Marini.

He attended Bishop Guertin High School, where he was a gifted and enthusiastic athlete. He played baseball and excelled in track and field, earning MVP honors in the high jump.

Joey had a wonderful sense of humor and a personality that brought laughter and energy to those around him. Music was an important part of his life. He loved playing guitar and especially enjoyed jam sessions with his Uncle Jim. He also loved to dance and dreamed of becoming a professional dancer, taking great joy in expressing himself through movements and music.

Joey was an avid Star Wars fan and could easily get lost in the stories, characters, and imagination of that galaxy far, far away.

He also had a deep fascination with astronomy and the stars. He was curious about the universe and enjoyed mathematics and science, always interested in understanding how things worked and what existed beyond what we could see.

Joey was also a devoted and loving companion to his beloved cat, Adalita, who held a very special place in his heart.

Joey will be remembered for his humor, creativity, love of music, athletic spirit, curiosity, and the unique spark he brought into the lives of those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his parents Maria and Joseph, Joey is survived by his personal friend Patricia Ellis; his siblings Daniel Marini and his wife Katie, and Gina Sanford and her husband Clark; his nieces Olivia, Phoebe, Aubrie, and one more on the way; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services will be held privately for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one's charity of choice, to honor Joey.
