Obituary

Kenneth Donald Dion, Sr., 72, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away on August 30, 2022 at Monadnock Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born on January, 20, 1950, he was the son of the late Remi A. Dion and Evelyn H. (Borneman) Silver and the stepson of the late Harold Silver.

Ken started working as a cab driver in the city of Nashua when he was only 16 years old.  He dedicated his career to his trade and worked for 40 years driving cab #38 for Nashua Taxi.  During his younger years, he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Council #11907.  He also served as a Cub Scout leader for Troop 359.  In his free time, Ken was an avid sports fan especially cheering on his New England Patriots. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.  Ken was always up for a good game of cribbage, playing bingo and loved to go out dancing.  Above all else, he cherished time spent with his family and friends.

Ken is survived by three sons, Eric Dion, Sr. of Warner, NH, Kenneth Dion, Jr. and his wife Amy of Nashua, NH and Todd Dion and his fiancée Tamara Gawley of Jaffrey, NH; his daughter, Tina Martin and her husband Eric of Jaffrey, NH; and their mother, S.Fay Hildreth of Jaffrey, NH; four sisters, Paulette Davis of Allenstown, NH, Patricia Dion of Nashua, NH,  Diane Courcy and her husband Patrick of Nashua, NH and Doreen Evans and her husband Ernest of Londonderry, NH; two brothers, Robert Dion, Sr. and his wife Irene of Nashua, NH; David Dion and his wife Paula of Nashua, NH and his brother-in-law, Gerard Beauchesne of Nashua, NH.  He is also survived by many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ken is predeceased by his sister, Joana Lee (Penny) Beauchesne and his brother-in-law, Henry Davis.

A graveside service will be held in Ken's memory on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2022 AT 12N in Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH.  The celebration of his life will continue later the same day at the VFW in Milford, NH from 5pm-11pm.  Arrangements for Ken have been entrusted to ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 21 KINSLEY STREET, NASHUA, NH.
