Obituary

Lorraine J. (Labrie) Pelletier, 89, a lifelong resident of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 23, 2026, at The Hunt Community in Nashua. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) A. Pelletier, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.

Lorraine was born in Nashua on October 3, 1937, the second of three daughters of the late Leo and Celeste (Caron) Labrie. She was known for her quick wit and excelled academically, graduating with the St. Louis High School Class of 1955.

Lorraine was a loving and generous wife, mother, Memere, aunt, sister, and friend. She is survived by three of her four children: Gary Pelletier (Robin) of Bedford, NH; Michael Pelletier (Wendy) of Essex, VT; and Gail Levesque (Gilles) of Nashua, NH.

Memere will be greatly missed by her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Laura Levesque (Jason Brown) of Milford, NH; Jared Levesque (Stacy Callahan) of Merrimack, NH; Nicole Carr (Orrin) of Seymour, TN, and their children, Ezekiel and Vivienne; Robert Pelletier (Samantha) of Lancaster, PA, and their children, Cole and Luke; Samuel Pelletier (Chelsea Roberts) of Epping, NH, and their son, Samuel Jr.; Katherine Davenport (Jake) of North Kingstown, RI; and Rachel Hendriks (Joshua) of Brighton, MA. She also leaves several cousins, a nephew, a niece, and innumerable dear friends.

Lorraine was predeceased by her son, Steven Pelletier; her brothers-in-law, Ronald Pelletier and Robert Courtemanche; her sister-in-law, Patricia Stinson; and her beloved sisters, Claudette Courtemanche and Lynn Labrie, whose losses she deeply mourned.

Family, Community, and Service

Lorraine and Bob were active in Scouting and the Doucet Association, inspiring their three sons to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Lorraine served as a den mother for Pack 255 and devoted countless hours to her church and community.

A faithful and enthusiastic volunteer, Lorraine was deeply involved in St. Louis de Gonzague Parish in Nashua and also volunteered at the Bread and Roses kitchen in Franklin, NH. She was particularly proud of her work revitalizing the church fair at St. Louis Parish while serving on the Parish Council. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and served for many years as a first-grade religious education teacher. Her dedication extended to countless behind-the-scenes tasks, including preparing many egg salad sandwiches for funeral luncheons.

Lorraine approached life with an energetic, positive spirit and a desire to keep learning and expanding her horizons. A devoted friend, she was often the one behind the wheel and could always be counted on to offer support, lend a helping hand, or simply be there when someone needed her.

Her generosity reached well beyond her circle of family and friends. For many years, Lorraine collected items during her travels and donated them to a thrift store in Franklin, NH, where she recognized a tremendous need for everyday necessities and special items, including prom dresses. Her kindness and compassion touched countless lives.

A Family Business and a Life Well Lived

Lorraine and Bob were longtime owners and operators of Turnpike Super Shell and Super Shell Food Mart in Nashua. Lorraine served as bookkeeper among her many roles in the family business. Together, they hosted popular customer appreciation events at the station, featuring elaborate displays and giveaways that earned numerous regional and national awards for excellence.

Lorraine loved to sing and, especially, to dance. She often sang along to Patsy Cline and enjoyed dancing with Bob, whether square dancing, polka dancing, or line dancing. She also enjoyed taking Tai Chi classes, teaching her children and grandchildren how to make pickles, spending time at the beach, gardening, working on puzzles, and indulging in Tootsie Rolls.

Above all, Lorraine cherished having her entire family together, particularly for special celebrations at the family's retreat on Webster Lake in Franklin, NH. Among the most anticipated traditions were decorating floats for the Fourth of July boat parades and gathering for the Ice Fishing Derby each February. These occasions created treasured memories that her family will carry forward for generations.

Lorraine also enjoyed acting and reading plays with her theater group and participating in classes through the RISE program at Rivier University. Her lively personality and unmistakable presence helped her form many friendships, both at RISE and later at The Hunt Community.

Lorraine will be remembered as a selfless, strong, positive, humble, loving, and generous woman with a mischievous side that brought an extra sparkle to her personality. She was a wonderful person, a role model for her family, and a friend to so many. Her warmth, humor, generosity, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Lorraine’s visitation on SUNDAY, November 8th from 2 until 4 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on MONDAY, November 9th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Lorraine's interment will take place privately at a later date at St. Louis Cemetery in Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to a charity of one's choice
