Lorraine Noella Vachon, 86, died peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2022 at The Premier Nursing Home in Nashua. She was the beloved wife of the  late Fernand Vachon with whom she shared 23 years of marriage before his passing in April of 1991.

Lorraine was born in Ste-Marie, New Brunswick, Canada on December 29, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Juliette (Melanson)

In her free time she went to St. Louis church daily, enjoyed sewing, bingo, and playing cards every Sunday with her best friends Marcel and Priscille. She loved traveling to visit with her family in New Brunswick and Quebec enjoying all the delicious food, especially tourtières and poutine râpés.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter Brigitte MacMillan and her husband Charles of Piermont, her two grandchildren, Sonya MacMillan and Kristina Vachon; as well as her siblings, Claudette (Jacques Michaud) Dieppe, N.B., Ulysse Roy (Gilberte Caron) Quebec, Paul Roy N.B., and Valmond Roy (Bernice Boucher) N.B. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Fernand, she was predeceased by her son Raymond, daughter Muriel Vachon and her two sisters, Alfreda, Soeur Thérèse and sister in law Noëlla.

A funeral mass will take place THURSDAY, December 29th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, Nashua. Burial will be held at a later date in Canada. Donations to the Salvation Army in her memory would be an honor and a blessing. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ROCHTTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES.
