Obituary

Manuel Corga ("Manny"), of Nashua, passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2026.

Born on July 4, 1942, in Gração, Portugal, he was the beloved son of Joaquin and Gracinda (Rodrigues) Corga. Manny later made his home in the United States, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and simple joys.

He was the devoted husband of Helena (Rego) Corga, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage—just celebrated on March 13, 2026—filled with love, partnership, and countless cherished memories.

Manny was a dedicated and hardworking man throughout his life, employed at Batesville Casket, Anheuser-Busch, and Granite State Concrete. He took great pride in his work and in the life he was able to provide for his family.

He found his greatest happiness in time spent with those he loved. Manny enjoyed playing cards with his grandchildren, camping at Lake Ossipee, and spending time out on the water. He loved the outdoors—whether tending to his yard and grapevines or simply enjoying the fresh air. He cherished playing with family pets, going on cruises with family and friends, and traveling back to Portugal.

Known for his warmth and welcoming spirit, Manny's home was always "the house" where everyone gathered when his children were young. He was a father figure not only to his own children, but to many others, offering kindness, guidance, and a place where all felt at home.

Manny will be remembered for his generous heart, his deep love of family, and the lasting memories he created with those around him. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, family, and all who knew him.

In addition to his wife Helena, Manny is survived by his children: Gracinda Pires and her husband Joe of Toronto, Canada; Luis Corga and his wife Jillian of Merrimack; and Dinis Corga and his wife Karen of Merrimack. He also leaves behind his five grandchildren—Luis Pires, Nelson Pires, Olivia Corga, Anna Corga, and Antonio Corga—as well as his great-grandchild, Vienna.
