Obituary

Maria C. Bola-Ferriero, 61, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She is the beloved wife of William "Bill" Ferriero with whom she shared 27 years of marriage. She is also the beloved mother of Anthony "Tony" Ferriero for 18 years.

Maria was born in Bucharest, Romania on April 7, 1962 and is the daughter of Joita (Bica) Bola of Romania and the late Sterie Bola. She proudly received her Master's degree in Business Administration from Rivier College.

In her early years of her career, she was employed for the Food Stamp Program for the State of New Hampshire.   For the last 25 years, she was a Program Specialist for the USDA.

In her free time, Maria thoroughly enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally.  Some of her favorite destinations included Aruba, Europe, Florida and New York City. She loved trips to the beach with her family and touring Boston often with Bill. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family who she loved deeply.   She was very proud of her son Tony, a graduate of Nashua public schools and a present student at UMass Lowell.

In addition to her husband, Bill and her mother Joita, she is survived by her beloved son, Anthony Ferriero of Nashua; her sisters-in-law, Lisa Richards and her husband Douglas of Bow, NH and Nancy Josselin of Beverly, MA; her parents-in-law, Seraphino and Bette Ferriero of Beverly, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to Maria's visitation on MONDAY, January 8th from 10 until 11 AM in St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will follow in the church at 11 AM. Interment to be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria's name to St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, Nashua, NH. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Rochette Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
