OBITUARY: MARIETTE A. (LAVALLEE) SOUCY

Mariette A. (Lavallee) Soucy, 75, of Nashua, passed away on Sunday May 18, 2014 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

Mariette was born in Hudson, NH on November 13, 1938, a daughter of the late Severain and Anna (Levesque) Lavallee. She was the beloved wife of Richard Soucy of Nashua.

Mariette had been employed by Ingersol Rand for many years. She loved to travel with her husband, especially going to Foxwoods and spending winters in Florida. Mariette loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and all of her favorite children. She enjoyed bowling and knitting blankets for family. Some of her knitting was donated to St. Joseph Hospital. Mariette was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriot fan. She was a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

Besides her husband of 56 years, Mariette is survived by:

Three sons; Richard Soucy of Nashua, Michael Soucy and his wife Carrie of Nashua and Daniel Soucy and his wife Holly of Deltona, FL

Three daughters; Michelle Souter and her husband Michael of Ipswich, MA, Dianne Emanuelson and her husband Jeff of Hudson and Monique Miseirvitch and her husband Nick of Nashua

Twenty-one grandchildren; Tony Hewitt, Christopher Soucy, Heather Soucy, Katelyn Soucy, Emily Soucy, Jonah Soucy, Benjamin Soucy, Miriam Hixon, Spencer Morse, Sammi Souter, Michael Souter, Matthew Emanuelson, Patrick Emanuelson, Gregory Emanuelson, Nathan Emanuelson, Brandi Miseirvitch, Christi Miseirvitch, Zachary Miseirvitch, Brianna Miseirvitch, Tyler Miseirvitch and Natalia Miseirvitch

Five great-grandchildren

One sister; Carmen Blushiy of Nashua

Also many nieces, nephews and cousins

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 22, 2014 in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley Street Nashua NH, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 23, 2014 in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 West Hollis St., Nashua, at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
