(Rioux) Girouard

Mary Jane Girouard, 84, died peacefully on Friday evening, March 18, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Girouard with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage before his passing on June 4, 2020.
Mary Jane was born in Nashua on August 27, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie Ann (Cassista) Rioux. She was educated in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School with the class of 1955.
In her younger years, Mary Jane was employed by Indian Head Bank in the bookkeeping department. Following her position there, she operated Charlie's Barber Shop with her husband.
In her free time, Mary Jane loved to crochet, read various newspapers, and pray her rosary. She enjoyed watching her soap operas, Hallmark Channel, and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. She loved to cook especially family dinners and rarely missed a weekly card game with her sisters. Mary Jane would like to sit in her chair, watch TV or chat with family members, and pop her bubblewrap. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her loving family.
She is survived by her five children, Donna King and her husband Greg, Pat Burns and her husband Dan, Mike Girouard and his wife Katherine, Gary Girouard and his wife Julie, and Paula Simpson and her husband Ken; her 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her six siblings, Lucille Bedard, Pauline Lambert, Paul Rioux and his wife Anita, Sylvia Carroll and her husband Roy, Anita Beaulieu and her husband Ron, and Richard Rioux and his wife Laura; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Alphonse Rioux, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mary Jane's graveside service on FRIDAY, March 25th at 1 PM in St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Jane's name to Home, Health, and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
