Nancy Jane Bechard, 74 passed away peacefully on May 1, 2023 in Nashua. Nancy was born April 13, 1949, in Gloucester, MA to the late Richard and Berta (Corliss) Bruns.

Nancy received her education in the Nashua School District graduating with the Nashua High class of 1967. She went on to receive a Nursing Degree from Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing in Jamaica Plain and then became a Registered Nurse at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. In 1970, Nancy married the love of her life Paul Bechard and shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with him. She is survived by her three children, Michelle Bechard of Nashua, Christopher Bechard and his wife Su of Thailand, and Laura Leonard and her husband John of Westford, MA, and 4 grandchildren Logan Bechard, Tyler Bechard, Layla Bechard and Ella Leonard; as well as her sister Diane Murray and her brother Scott Bruns.

Those that knew Nancy would describe her as a kind, caring and loving woman. She was compassionate to all and was always willing to help anyone who needed it… no matter what! Nancy loved to be social and anyone that came into their home felt welcomed. With her love for cooking and crafting she always had food for people to eat and activities ready if any kids were involved. She also loved to travel, visiting many different countries; England, Germany, Korea, and China but her favorite adventure was when she rode camels in Egypt and floated in the Dead Sea in Jerusalem.  When life started to slow down a bit you could find her knitting or gambling, where she somehow managed to find a slot machine that ALWAYS seemed to pay out. But, above all else, Nancy cherished her time with family and friends

Relatives and friends are invited to Nancy's visitation on TUESDAY, May 9th from 4 until 5:45 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home starting at 5:45pm.
