Obituary

Richard D. Bergskaug, 46, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston surrounded by his family.

Richard was born in Port Jefferson, New York on May 7, 1976 and is the son of Gordon Bergskaug of Florida and the late Nancy (Vitale) Bergskaug. He attended schools in the Jericho School System, Chaminade High School, and continued his education at Boston College and Southern New Hampshire University where he graduated with his Master's degree in Special Education.

He was employed as a special education teacher in the Shaker Regional School District. In addition, he enjoyed coaching various sports and loved athletics.

Richard is survived by his four children whom he loved dearly, Dante, Sofia, Marco and Renzo; as well as his two sisters, Lauren DiGennaro and her husband John, Allison Bary and her husband David; as well as nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Richard's visitation on MONDAY, April 3rd from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Interment will take place at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted by either: The Bergskaug Children's Scholarship Trust, PO Box 194, Brookline, NH 03033 and/or Melmark New England, a non-profit human service organization serving individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities.
