Rita E. Augusta

Rita E. Augusta, 50, died unexpectedly at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Massachusetts, on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Rita was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the beloved daughter of the late Matthew and Katherine (Kerins) Augusta. A graduate of Methuen High School, she went on to Northeastern University to study criminal justice and earned her Six Sigma Certification from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Above all, her most cherished time was spent as a mother to her pride and joy, Tae. A sports fan, she loved football and basketball, Traveling, and Ancestry.  She made it a goal to always make time for her family and friends.

Rita spent more than 20 years living and working in Southern California, where she helped numerous charities.  She was on the Planning Board for the American Heart Association, a mentor for Boys & Girls Club of America, fundraiser for Royal Family KIDS and her company even raised money for a movie theatre for CHOC Children's Hospital

Rita is survived by her child, Tae Augusta; her brothers Matthew Augusta and Robbie Shaw, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Matthew and Kathrine Kerins Augusta, and her sisters, Bernadette Theodore and Antoinette Shaw.

A Memorial Service will be held at Chateau Restaurant, 131 River Road, Andover, MA on Thursday, June 22nd in the Tuscany Room from 1-3 PM.  Please RSVP by text to 603-560-8835. Arrangements under the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES.
