Rodney James DeCarteret Jr, age 70, passed away, November 3rd, 2023 surrounded by loved ones in Virginia from complications of cancer.

He was born November 25th, 1952, in Lowell, MA, to Dorothy Daigle and Rodney DeCarteret Sr. Rodney Jr graduated from Tyngsboro High School. He went on to become a Tyngsboro police officer and then onto construction running heavy equipment.

When visiting him, you would find him out in his garden moving plants or flowers or working on one of his rock cairns (stacks). When not home you would find him in his tree stand during hunting season or fishing for trout in local rivers.

He was survived by his Brothers, David DeCarteret, Mark DeCarteret, sister Debbie Glenn, 4 children (Rodney (Scott), David (Todd), Kaitlyn, Nicole)) and 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Rodney DeCarteret Sr, Dorothy Smith (Daigle) and Donna Wood(Chase).

Family and friends are invited to Rodney's visitation on SATURDAY, November 18th from 10 until 11:30 AM. A funeral service will take place at 11:30 AM.  In lieu of sending flowers, please consider donating to one of these Cancer Charities.
