Roger Edmond Houle passed away on October 22, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire. He was born on November 18, 1946, in Nashua, to Robert and Irene (Nadeau) Houle. Roger was the husband of Sandra Houle until her passing in 2016. He later married Claire (Miles) Houle, with whom he shared eight years of marriage and companionship.

Roger attended Nashua High School and graduated from Nathaniel Hawthorne College. Throughout his life, he enjoyed staying active and pursuing the many interests that brought him joy. He had a love for boating, motorcycles; which he owned many of over the years, and snowmobiling. He also valued physical fitness and enjoyed exercising, maintaining an active lifestyle throughout his life.

For more than 40 years, Roger devoted his time to Gideons ministry and Prison ministry through Christian Bible Church, sharing his faith and offering encouragement and hope to others. His commitment to ministry was an important part of his life and reflected his desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.

Above all, Roger loved his family. His children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the time he spent with them. His love for his family, his faith, and his many interests helped shape a life filled with activity, purpose, and meaningful connections.

Roger is survived by his wife Claire; his children Kevin Houle and his spouse Christian of Gwinn, MI, and Michael Houle and his wife Jill of Strafford, CT; his grandchildren Amber Lally, Corey Strusa, Kelli Weaver and her husband Justin, Kayla Johnson and her husband Tyler, Kylie Houle, Ava Houle, Sophia Houle, Nicolas Houle, Elias Houle, Luca Houle, Cecila Houle, and Silas Houle; his 18 great grandchildren; his siblings Joanne Charron of Nashua, Paul Houle and his wife Jan of North Conway, and Roland Houle of Pelham; his bonus family Brian Kelley and his wife Brenda and his children Olivia, Owen, and Christian, and special granddaughter Sarah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to Roger’s visitation on Tuesday October 27th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His funeral service will take place on WEDNESDAY October 28th at 2pm at Christian Bible Church, 205 Manchester Street, Nashua, with meal to follow. Interment and presentation of military honors will take place on THURSDAY October 29th at 1:30 PM at the NH State Veteran’s cemetery in Boscawen, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH.
