Stephen Ray Peebles, 60, of Hudson, passed away surrounded by his family on August 11, 2026 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack.

Stephen was born in Aliquippa, PA on June 23, 1966. He was raised by his loving mother Gail (Walker) Peebles and devoted godparents Leroy "Pop" and Ophelia McLaughlin. Having no children of their own, Pop and Ophelia indulgently provided for Stephen's wants and needs while teaching devotion, commitment, and a quiet work ethic. Stephen was a graduate of Aliquippa High School class of 1984.

He moved to New Hampshire in 1985 where he established roots in the community, raising his children and was happily married to Danielle for over 20 years. He worked at several companies in the region and most recently he was employed at BAE Systems for 19 years. He was an active member in many local basketball leagues and coached youth basketball.

Stephen was passionate about playing and watching sports (Go Steelers!), traveling, the beach, and music. He never missed an opportunity to show off a well-coordinated outfit. He was deeply devoted to his family, often traveling for family reunions, vacations and to grandbabies’ sport events.

Stephen is predeceased by his wife of over 20 years, Danielle Peebles, his mother Gail Peebles, godparents, Leroy "Pop" and Ophelia McLaughlin and Willie and Ruth Lee, and many other loved relatives and friends.

Stephen is survived by his four children, Chaunice Wilks and husband Michael, Orianna Grillo and husband Christopher, Mckenna Bush, and Savion Peebles; siblings Johnnie Peebles Jr. and wife Tanya, Gaynelle Bloh and husband Christopher, and Mark Peebles and wife Rashida; grandbabies Jaliyah, Exadria, and Wesley; close friend and mother of his eldest daughters, Tara Aguiar. After his wife's passing, Stephen found love again with his companion Maria Trujillo.

Family and friends are invited to Stephen's visitation on SATURDAY August 22nd from 11 AM until 2 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street Nashua. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the American Cancer Society or the Community Hospice House
