William “Bill” Edward Deibert, 65, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. Bill is the beloved husband of Gayle (Lyko) Deibert with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.
Bill was born in Sudbury, Massachusetts on April 25, 1961 and was the son of the late Edward Deibert and Joanne (Raymond) Hayden. He received his education and graduated from Tyngsboro High School.
For 38 years, Bill proudly owned and operated Dependable Lock in Nashua, where he built a successful business through his hard work, dedication, and commitment to his customers. He truly loved his profession and took great pride in helping others each and every day. More than just a business owner, Bill valued the relationships he developed throughout the years and found genuine fulfillment in providing a dependable service to his community.
In his free time, Bill was an avid collector of many things, including firearms, precious metals, and countless other treasures that caught his interest. He was always ready for a night out at the Haluwa in Nashua, where he enjoyed a good meal, live music, and great company. He loved taking trips to the beach, exploring the White Mountains, and camping in Whitefield, New Hampshire. Always one to keep busy, Bill enjoyed tinkering and working on various projects, especially at the local mill building where he privately owned space. Through the years, he developed many friendships with his tenants and became affectionately known as “Bill from the Mill.”
Known as the wanderer of the group, Bill loved vacationing with family and friends, although he always managed to venture off and explore on his own terms. He also appreciated life's simple pleasures, especially a good ice cream, Kit Kat bars, and an ice-cold Pepsi. Bill will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his ability to make others laugh, and the genuine love he had for his family and friends. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with those he loved deeply, creating memories that will forever be treasured. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
In addition to his wife, Gayle, he is survived by their three children, Stephen Deibert of Huntsville, AL, Emily Moore and her husband Sean of Benbrook, TX, and Carolyn St. Onge and her husband Dylan of Litchfield; his four grandchildren, Connor Deibert, Zoe Moore, Matthew Moore, and Jacob Moore. He is also survived by his brother, David Deibert and his wife Joanna of Texas and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bill’s visitation on TUESDAY, November 3rd from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
His graveside service will be held on WEDNESDAY, November 4th at 11:30 AM in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua. KINDLY MEET AT THE CEMETERY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
