Obituary

William (Bill) Edward O'Bryan, lovingly, "Papa", 75, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 17, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Cynthia L. (Bell) O'Bryan with whom he shared 35 years of marriage prior to her passing on August 12, 2003.

William was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 27, 1947 and was the son of the late Edward and Barbara (Cunning) O'Bryan. He received his education in the Boston School System.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War until he was honorably discharged on August 2, 1968.

In his early years, he worked in radio, television and broadcasting for various companies and most recently was employed as a security guard at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua until his retirement.

In his free time, he enjoyed watching various movies, television shows, and boxing matches. He loved to have a camera in his hand at all times, and captured so many family memories for his collection of photos and home videos. He loved to recount stories from his days in broadcasting and radio. More than anything, William truly loved his family. He would never miss a sporting event when his grandchildren were younger and whenever he had an opportunity to spend time with his family, he would. He was an incredible Papa and cherished and loved them deeply.

William is survived by his two children, Joseph O'Bryan and his significant other Heidi St. Hilaire of Nashua and Kim Brandolini and her significant other Robert Crockett; his grandchildren, Caitlin Yakubenko and her husband Boris of Londonderry, Tyler O'Bryan and his significant other Emilee Stenger of Manchester, Seth St. Hilaire of Raymond, and Ronaldo Crockett of Nashua; as well as his great-grandson Cole Yakubenko. He is also survived by his siblings Victor, Ronny, Joey, Jeannie, Johnny, and Debbie; as well as his long-term companion Darlene Rubin of Merrimack and her children, Jon and Kellie Rubin of Bedford, and Matthew Rubin of Los Angeles, and grandchildren, Evelyn, Cobe, Sawyer, Rosie and Simon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, who were near and dear to his heart.

In addition to his wife, Cynthia and his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Michael E. O'Bryan in 1973 as well as his siblings, Jimmy, Ruthie, Anne, and Bobby, all of whom he loved dearly.
