Aglaea Delage Obituary

Aglaea (Mandravelis) Delage, 88, known as “Litsa,” was full of life, love and always there to help anyone in need. She loved her family, watching football, entertaining, a connoisseur of food and never met a desert that wasn’t her favorite.  The love of her life was the late Gerard J. Delage “Jerry”, and husband for 51 years. Married on July 31, 1960, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. They met in Junior High school and secretly dated for many years. Jerry and Litsa had a standing date night every Saturday where they often went to dinner, dances, shows and played cribbage with their life-long, traveling friends George and late Mary Torosian.

An active member of the Agape Society and volunteer at St. Philips Greek Orthodox Church and she rarely missed a Sunday service. Her strong faith was an integral part of her life and her passion. No matter the occasion, Litsa always appeared with the best ensemble with perfect hair and makeup. Litsa passed peacefully on October 02, 2023, one day shy of her 89th birthday at the Community Hospice House.

She was born on October 3, 1934, in Nashua, New Hampshire and was the daughter of the late Michael and Evangeline “Eva” (Xenitimenos) Mandravelis, in her youth, Litsa was an active member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She attended schools in the Nashua School System and graduated from Nashua High School before attending Rivier College.  For many years she worked at Sanders Association as an Executive Secretary and retired as an Admin from Lockheed Martin (now known as BAE Systems). She later worked at Area Agency of Greater Nashua, Inc. and at Macy’s for Calvin Klien Fragrance’s. Litsa was an amazing friend, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife.  Some of her happiest times were when her family and friends were all together.  Being around others, keeping in touch with everyone and her biggest wish was for everyone to get along.  Always wanting world peace!

Together, they had two children, their daughter Lisa (Delage) Scontsas and her husband, Achilles Scontsas (of Nashua, NH), and their son Gregory S. Delage and his wife, Monique (Brunelle) Delage (of Raleigh, NC); and grandchildren Peter Scontsas and his partner Carlie Albert, Nicole E. Scontsas (late), Addison G. Delage and Olivia M. Delage, as well as her two great-grandchildren Parker A. Scontsas and Nicholas P. Scontsas. Siblings include Sultania (Mandravelis) and her husband Matt Diamantopoulos (both deceased), Anthony and his wife Patricia Mandravelis (deceased), Nicholas and his wife Susan Mandravelis and many nieces and nephews.
