Anita R. Watts

PETERBOROUGH- Anita ‘Toots’ Watts, 86, of Nashua and the past few years a resident of Pheasant Wood Nursing Home in Peterborough, NH, died peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2019, with her family by her side after a six year battle with dementia.

Anita was born in Nashua on January 9, 1933 and was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Flora (Salvail) Garant.

Prior to her retirement, Anita worked for Sanders Associates for many years and prior to that at Sprague Electric.

Known for her love of Bingo and for her sassiness, Anita loved her family and friends and truly enjoyed having company, especially hosting Sunday morning breakfasts. She loved music and dancing. She always had music playing, some of her favorites were Yanni, Cher, Tina Turner, and Earth Wind and Fire just to name a few. In fact, she was listening to Yanni as she was passing.

In addition to her husband, George Watts who passed away in December of 2011, they had celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary that year. Anita was also predeceased by her infant daughter, Lynette, her brothers, Normand and Ernest, her sisters, Sally, Elaine, Lucille, and Beatrice and their spouses as well as her sisters-in-law, Terry Sullivan and Fran Gale and their spouses.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Watts-Cadorette and step daughter, Susan M. Hazlett; five grandchildren, Nicole Cadorette, Michael Cadorette, Holly Smith, Mychael Smith, and Jamie Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Anita’s family wishes to thank Pheasant Wood Nursing Home and their exceptional staff that cared for her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Anita’s visitation on FRIDAY, October 25th from 11 AM until 1 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home at 1 PM followed by her interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anita’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association to find a cure for dementia and Alzheimer’s, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY, 10001 or to the Funeral Home to defer funeral costs.
