Ann "Annie" Ivey Obituary

NASHUA—Ann McLaughlin Ivey, age 77, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, on February 27, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Thornhill Johnstone, Scotland, on August 13, 1941, she was a daughter of the late James and Catherine (Barr) McLaughlin.  Following her education, after raising her children, Annie went on to become a nursing assistant, working at Life Care Center in Billerica, and was CSM for Walmart in Tewksbury, Mass for many years.

In her free time, Annie loved to crochet, knit, tend to her plants and cook for family gatherings.  She also enjoyed going to the beach when she was able and people watching while there.  Traveling was a passion of Annie’s, whether it was to the beach or just taking a drive in the car, she enjoyed getting out and sightseeing.  Above all else though, Annie loved her family.  Watching her beautiful children and grandchildren grow was one of her life’s greatest joys!

Annie is survived by her three daughters, Patrina Ivey and her fiancé Daniel DeArville of Sandown, Sharon Berard and her husband Gary of Londonderry, and Ashley Ivey of Nashua; her two sons, Stephen Ivey and his wife Karen of Webster, MA and Brian Ivey and wife Lisa of Nashua; her ten grandchildren, Justin Everett and his fiancée Meaghan Fay, Jamie Hillman and husband Ben, Nate Beckwith, Kayleigh Ivey, Brennon Berard, Kyle Berard, Christopher Ivey, Riley Mitchell, Tyler Folger and McKenna Folger; her two great-grandchildren, Shelbie and Averie Everett; her brother Desmond McLaughlin of Scotland, as well as many beloved cousins and friends.

She was the sister of the late Patricia (McLaughlin) Lomas, and sister-in-law of the late Jackie McLaughlin.

Family and friends are invited to call at the ANCTIL-ROCHETTE and SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, on March 3 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Waltham, MA 02451 or to The American Lung Association, 1661 Worcester Rd. #301, Framingham, MA 01701.
