Beatrice "Bea" Burke

Beatrice “Bea” Burke, 78, died peacefully at her home on Friday, March 24, 2023 surrounded by loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Stephen D. Burke with whom she would have celebrated 55 years of marriage in June. 

In addition to her husband, Stephen, she is survived by her three children, Stephen J. Burke of Fremont, NH, Jeffrey M. Burke and his wife Sara of Nashua, and Meredith Burke-St. Louis and her wife Heather St. Louis of Methuen, MA; as well as her three grandchildren, Cameron, Madison, and Evan; and many nieces and nephews.

Bea was predeceased by her three siblings, her twin brother John Nestor formerly of Ipswich, MA, Vincent Nestor formerly of Medford, MA and Diane Dimancesco formerly of Chelmsford, MA.

Bea was born in Medford, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Ella (Dwyer) Nestor. She graduated from Melrose High School and obtained a nursing degree from Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

In her early years, she was employed as a registered nurse for Melrose Wakefield Hospital as well as Mt. Ida Hospital and Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Massachusetts.  Bea and her loving husband Steve settled in Nashua, NH to start a family.  Bea dedicated 30 years of nursing to St. Joseph Hospital until her retirement and spent her life giving to others.

In her free time, Bea enjoyed making floral arrangements and was an avid reader of crime and political dramas as well suspense.  She also loved hosting and entertaining friends and family. She liked to travel to many destinations to enjoy views of the ocean and the mountains. Bea was a devout parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church and over the years volunteered for many of their programs.  Above all, Bea enjoyed spending time with family, she loved them deeply. 

Relatives and friends are invited to Bea’s visitation on SATURDAY, April 1st from 9 AM until 10:30 AM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bea’s name to Rivier University Nursing Program.
