Benjamin Beil Obituary

Benjamin Beil, 85, died peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loving family.

Ben was born in Abbotsford, Wisconsin on September 9, 1936, and was the son of the late Frank and Vera (Chitwood) Beil.

For many years, he was employed as an alcohol and drug counselor for the New Start Program at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua until his retirement in 1999. He truly loved his job and helping people.

In his free time, Ben enjoyed reading but especially was an avid reader of the Western genre. He also liked Western movies. He and his longtime companion, Jeanne, loved to walk the beach together, especially at Hampton Beach. Ben will be deeply missed. He was a gentle and kind person; never quick to judge a soul. Every person who Ben ever met; he would consider them a friend instantly. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with is loving family.

He is survived by his longtime companion and soulmate, Jeanne Boyer of Nashua, his children, Benjamin Beil Jr. and his wife Ann of Monroe, South Dakota, Robert Beil and his fiancé Barbara of Hudson, Wisconsin, Kelly Walker of River Falls, Wisconsin, and Kerry Beil of Hastings, Minnesota. Jeanne's children, Cathy Hall and her husband Jeff of

Nashua, Cheryl Wyatt of Tampa, FL, John Boyer and his wife Josette of Temple, New Hampshire, and Michelle Walburger and her husband Richard of Nashua, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Ben was predeceased by his son Brian Beil, his brother William “Bill” Beil, and his two sisters, Genevieve Fernstahl of Wisconsin and Patricia Keith of Montana and his grandson Brad Biel.

Ben’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Ben’s medical team for their care provided to him. His family would also like to thank the staff at Rochette Funeral Home for their compassion shown during a difficult time in their lives.

At the request of Ben’s family, all services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ben’s name to the Community Hospice House or to Home, Health, and Hospice, both at 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES.
