Bernadette T. (Landry) Brodeur, 94, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger G. Brodeur with whom she shared 66 years of marriage prior to his passing on April 20, 2017.
Bernadette was born in Hudson, New Hampshire on October 14, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadette (Belanger) Landry and was one of ten children.
Bernadette met her husband, Roger, at the Nashua Mills where they both worked, and she was instantly smitten with him. They fell in love, got married, and raised 5 children together. For many years, she was employed as an inspector for the Nashua Mills, which later became Sprague Electric, where she worked until her retirement.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing cards with friends. For 10 years, she and her late husband would “snow bird” to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and enjoy their winters there. Bernadette never missed an opportunity to take a leisurely walk along the beach, and then relax in the Hot Tub. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family.
She is survived by her four daughters, Linda Davis and her husband Paul of Nashua, Donna Ledoux and her husband David of Nashua, Janet Brown and her husband Bill of Southport, North Carolina and Brenda Nunes of Hudson; as well as her six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Roger, she was predeceased by her son, Gary Brodeur.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bernadette’s Funeral Mass on WEDNESDAY, November 29th at 10 AM in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Her interment will take place in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernadette’s name to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
