Bernice V. (Bilodeau) Guy, 88, died peacefully in her home on Friday, November 25, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur “Terry” Guy with whom she shared 54 years of marriage prior to his passing on January 22, 2011.
Bernice was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on March 9, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Francis and Irene (Callahan) Bilodeau. She received her education in the Waltham School System and was a graduate of St. Charles High School in Waltham.
Bernie began her career at Raytheon and later worked along side her husband, Terry, in his businesses.
An avid golfer, Bernie enjoyed playing at Nashua CC for many years before moving to Florida where she played at several courses and was involved with a variety of women’s golf associations. Her greatest golf experience was in Ireland where she was able to celebrate both her heritage and love for the game! She was a wonderful cook and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining, always impressing her guests with new and delicious recipes. Bernie and her family spent many years skiing at Waterville Valley where she enjoyed days on the slopes while pining for warmer days on the golf course.
Bernie became quite skilled at anything she put her mind to, whether it be a home repair or creating stunning clothes and quilts with her incredible sewing talents. She loved to knit as well, crafting beautiful baby gifts and warm, comfy sweaters alike. Bernie was a voracious reader who could have filled an impressive library of her own with the various novels she devoured. In her later years, she treasured afternoon Domino games with her dear friends. She kept her mind sharp with word puzzles and mastering many of the intricacies of her ever-frustrating iPhone. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family who she loved deeply.
Bernice is survived by her three children, Diana Hoffman and her husband Ed of Nashua, Jeff Guy and his partner Leslie Justice of Arizona, and Alicia Bianchi and her husband Michael of Nashua; her three grandchildren, Devrie Hoffman, Jared Hoffman and his wife Emilie, and Jillian Bianchi. She is also survived by her brother Larry Bilodeau of Texas and her two nephews, Greg and Shawn Bilodeau and niece Jaqueline Lask and nephew Paul Bilodeau of California.
In addition to her husband, Terry and her parents she was predeceased by her brother Ronnie and sister Carol; as well as her sister-in-law, Millie Bilodeau.
At the request of Bernice and her family, all services will be held privately.
