Bertha Louise Maillet Obituary

Bertha Louise (Boudreau) Maillet, 78, of Nashua, NH, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 19, 2022. God took her to eternal life with Him as she was surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Aurele Maillet with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Louise was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on October 22, 1944 and was the daughter of the late Alban and Bertha (Brideau) Boudreau. She received her grammar schooling at Holy Rosary School, high school at Presentation of Mary, Hudson, NH and Gardner High School (class of 1962).

For many years she was employed as a cashier at Market Basket, Nashua, NH until her retirement.

Louise’s family, extended family and friends meant everything to her. She enjoyed cooking for them; her special desserts were penuche fudge and chocolate pineapple pie, which everyone loved. Her special treat was ice cream. Her grandchildren all called her “memere” (French for grandmother). Louise enjoyed personalizing greeting cards and letters and would often write special thoughts, which were usually very lengthy.

In addition to her husband, Aurele, she is survived by her daughter Brenda Maillet of Nashua; her son Kevin Maillet, his wife Karen and granddaughter Chloe of Merrimack; her son Brian Maillet, his wife Amanda and Kyle, Alissa and Keegan, her grandsons and granddaughter of Litchfield; and her youngest daughter Nicole Maillet of Wilkes Barre, PA; as well as her brother Norman Boudreau and his wife Carol of Fitchburg, MA.

Louise was predeceased by her four siblings: Dolores DeNapoli, Robert Boudreau, Raymond Boudreau and Clarence (Chuck) Boudreau; and one nephew, Spencer DeNapoli.

Surviving spouses of siblings: one brother-in-law, Dr. Jorge DeNapoli of North Andover, MA; three sisters-in-law: Lydia Boudreau of Bedford, PA; Anita Boudreau of Gardner, MA; and Marie Boudreau of Jackson, NJ.

Her nieces and nephews are: Deirdre, Alan, Melissa, Jacqueline, Nancy, Cathleen, Mark, Stephen, Nanette, Jason, Denise, Nicole, Michelle, Christopher, Gregory and Michael.
