Berthilde “Betty” Dube, 91, a longtime resident of Nashua, died peacefully Sunday morning, December 20, 2020, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson surrounded by her loving family. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. X. Dube.
Betty was born in Clair, New Brunswick, Canada, on September 13, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Romualde and Alice (Charete) Long.
For 14 years, she was employed as an assembler for Centronics until her retirement.
In her free time she enjoyed knitting, baking and spending time with her family. She made sure to always have something sweet in the dessert tray . She was always on the go, whether it was knitting hats and mittens for the Soup Kitchen, or doing a task to maintain her home. She was always doing something for someone or herself.
Betty is survived by her two grandchildren, Jessica Carreiro and her husband Brian of Amherst and Joseph Dube and his wife Colina of Amherst; she is also survived by her four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zoe, Salem, and Connor; and her sister Rachel Gamache of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by her son, Paul E. Dube and his wife Peggy Ann and her daughter Linda Theriault.
Relatives and friends are invited to Betty’s graveside service and interment on FRIDAY, January 22nd at 11 AM in St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
