Betty R. McGonis

Betty R. (Smith) McGonis, 81, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick McGonis who predeceased her on March 3, 2011.

Betty was born in Pepperell, Massachusetts on June 26, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Everett and Alice (Demers) Smith.

For 28 years, Betty was employed as a materials coordinator for Lockheed Sanders until her retirement.

In her free time, she was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion.

She is survived by her son Scott Biron of Nashua and Michelle Leduc of Manchester, her two granddaughters, Erica Leduc and her fiancé Setarbosnai Rivas Sr. of Manchester and Megan Leduc of Manchester: as well as her two great-grandchildren, Setarbosnai Rivas Jr. and Serenity Leduc. Betty is also survived by her siblings, Anita Lavoie of Nashua, William Smith and his wife Diane of Bedford, Wanda Siesicki and her husband Michael of Nashua, and Mark Smith and his wife Janet of Nashua; her sister-in-law Beverly Smith of Concord, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her son Roger Biron Jr., her sisters Linda Town, Loretta Roberge, Anna Johnson, Mary Hall, Lucy Drohan; her brothers, Jay Smith, Daniel Smith, Everett Smith and Roland Smith; as well as her brother-in-law, Richard Lavoie.

At Betty’s request, all services will be held privately. Arrangements under the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
