Catherine "Cathy" (Kosik) Soukaras

Catherine (Kosik) Soukaras, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 68 years old.

Born on May 16, 1956, to Stanley and Helen (Trzcinski) Kosik, Catherine was raised with strong family values that remained at the heart of her life. She shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Nicholas Soukaras.

A dedicated homemaker for many years, Catherine found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending sunny days at the beach, exploring the peace of the mountains, dancing to her favorite tunes, and sharing Chinese or Mexican food with family and friends.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband Nicholas, her devoted daughter Christine Soukaras of Massachusetts, and her beloved granddaughter Athena Soukaras. She is also survived by her siblings: Patricia McKay and her husband James of Methuen, MA; Stanley W. Kosik Jr. of Lowell, MA; and Carol Lavoie and the late David J. Lavoie of Nashua, NH. Catherine will also be fondly remembered by her in-laws, Stephen Soukaras and his wife Robin of Methuen, MA, and Stella Soukaras of Methuen, MA. She leaves behind her lifelong friends, including Roslyn Ntellas and Vicki Alarie, who will miss her dearly as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her cherished son, Nicholas Soukaras.

Relatives and friends are invited to Catherine’s visitation on MONDAY, April 28th from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 12 p.m. Her interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catherine’s memory to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH.
