Cecile E. (Leblond) Dumais

Cecile E. (Leblond) Dumais, 92, died peacefully at her home on Friday, August 6, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger C. Dumais who predeceased her in October of 1992.

Cecile was born in Nashua on November 12, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Alice (Belanger) and Emile Leblond. She attended schools in the Nashua School System.

In her early years, she was employed by The Nashua Plastics until the birth of her son, when she became a home maker.

In her free time, she was an avid Bingo player especially at Eagle’s Wing in Nashua, she also enjoyed reading and her leisurely Sunday drives with her son, Jerry, and watching the Red Sox. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family, in particular time with her grandson, Christopher who will forever be the “apple of her eye”.

Cecile is survived by her two children, Gerard “Jerry” Dumais of Nashua and Mona Dupont and her husband Tim of Nashua; her grandson, Christopher Dupont and his girlfriend Rachel Lento of Nashua; her two siblings, Rita Dubois of Nashua and Normand Leblond of Nashua. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Bertrand Dumais of Nashua; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Paul Leblond and his wife Gabriel, Theresa Lebrun and her husband Rene, Robert Leblond and his wife Theresa; her brother-in-law, Ernie Dubois and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Leblond.

Relatives and friends are invited to Cecile’s visitation on TUESDAY, August 10th from 5 until 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on WEDNESDAY, August 11th at 10 AM in Infant Jesus Church/ St. John XXIII Parish, 121 Allds Street, Nashua. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. Donations may be made in Cecile’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
