In his free time he enjoyed folk dancing, stamp collecting and traveling. For several years he was an active dancer with Mandala, a folk dance performing group based in Boston. He loved exploring the countryside of Europe by canal boat or river cruise; and touring the United States in his RV while visiting family and friends.
He is survived by brothers David George Beierl, Philip Gregory Beierl and John Stephen Beierl; and by sisters Elizabeth-Ann (Betsy) Maguire and Margaret Agatha Marucha.
His family plans a private celebration of life at a future date.
