Christopher James McLaughlin passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Nashua, NH. Born on August 14, 1991, in Concord, Massachusetts, Chris was the beloved son of Edgar and Rosemary (Russo) McLaughlin. He grew up in New York and graduated from Cold Spring Harbor High School before earning his bachelor’s degree in Sports and Entertainment Management from Johnson & Wales University. Most recently, Chris’s smiling face could be found helping guests and coworkers alike at the Sheraton Hotel in Nashua.
Chris was a vibrant soul who lived life boldly and passionately. He held a deep love for theater; his first love being The Sound of Music. Aside from a memorable portrayal of the Mayor of River City in his elementary school performance of The Music Man, Chris rarely sought the spotlight himself, but his passion for theater shone brightly. He had an uncanny ability to discover the magic of the stage, always attuned to what was new and noteworthy on Broadway. He even experienced Hamilton off-Broadway, well before it rose to fame. Whether attending a performance or reflecting on it afterward, Chris offered thoughtful insight and a unique, honest, and genuine perspective.
Chris had a deep appreciation for fashion and took joy in expressing himself through style. He had a rare gift for assembling outfits that, on anyone else, might seem outlandish- but on him, they were striking.
Chris was a true foodie at heart, always on the lookout for new places to see, new flavors to try, and top-notch service to appreciate. His ability to find and create memorable adventures is a loss that will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to share those moments with him.
Above all, Chris loved being an uncle. He especially loved attending his nieces and nephews events, playing their favorite games, sharing their passions, and playfully teasing them along the way. His family was the center of his world, and he would spend his last penny if he thought it would bring a smile to the face of a loved one.
Chris is survived by his mother Rosemary McLaughlin; his father Edgar (Cindy) McLaughlin; his siblings Eddie McLaughlin, Elizabeth (William) Brooks, twin Charles (Madeleine) McLaughlin, and Ryan (Chloe) McLaughlin; his nieces and nephews Layla, Charly, Liam, Emmett, Chloe, and Renee; his grandmothers Bonnie McLaughlin and Susie Rogers; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends he made throughout his many adventures.
He was predeceased by his nephew John Brooks, Auntie Jean Russo Parks, Nana and Papa June and Charlie Russo, Grampa Edgar McLaughlin; as well as his beloved family pets Tucker and Shelby.
Family and friends are invited to Christopher’s funeral mass on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 12pm at Immaculate Conception Parish, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua followed by a celebration of life at Chris’s favorite local hangout. All who attend are encouraged to dress to impress in their favorite Chris-inspired ensembles.
