Christopher Michael Companero, 49, died peacefully of natural causes at his home on Sunday, January 28, 2024. He was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on August 11, 1974 and is the son of Cynthia Aalto and the late Edward Companero.
Chris attended Bonny Eagle School Systems and later transferred to Fryburg Academy where he graduated from in 1992.
Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1992 until he was honorably discharged. At that time, he resided in Maine for a short time and had his son, Austin Hava who now resides in Georgia.
Chris moved back to Massachusetts and met Jennie Lablanc and had their son, Cole.
In his free time, Chris was a sports enthusiast but was an avid fan of all New England Teams. He was a genuine, loving, and kind person who will be missed deeply.
Chris is survived by his two sons, Austin and Cole; his mother and stepfather, Cynthia Aalto and Matti of Portland, ME; his brother Paul Novak of Auburn, IL; his sisters, Paula Baines and her husband Ronald of Biddeford, ME, and Victoria Companero and her partner Ben Hustus of Manchester. He is also survived by his stepsisters, Linda Aalto of Portland, ME and Jennifer Aalto of Saco, ME; his step brother Omar Reyes Abdul Malik of Denver, CO; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and The Manchester Crew who became his family.
In addition to his father, Edward, he was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
At the request of Christopher’s family, all services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chris’ mother, Cynthia or his sister, Paula to a future trust fund that will be established for Cole.
