Claire R. Dupuis

Claire R. (Lamontagne) Dupuis, 76, died peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of Donald G. Dupuis with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Claire was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on January 13, 1947, and was the beloved daughter of the late Senator Laurier Lamontagne and Annie Louise (Miller) Lamontagne. She graduated from Berlin High School in the class of 1965.

For many years, Claire was a talented professional cake decorator and candy maker.    In addition to creating numerous cakes for countless customers, she also taught cake decorating and candy making.    In her free time, she proudly served as the President for Sugar Delight Cake Club in Nashua and was an extensive world traveler. She and her husband would travel to various destinations including Indonesia, UAE, France, Thailand, Japan, Panama, and countless cruises in the Caribbean, Mexico and South America.  Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her family, who she loved deeply; especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life.  Her sense of humor and fun personality made her the ultimate grandmother. 

In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by her three children, Donna Michaud and her husband Roger, Kevin Dupuis and his wife Christine and Diane Cafarelli and her husband Craig; her eight grandchildren, Matthew Dupuis, Emily Cafarelli, Rebecca Michaud, Peter Dupuis, Jason Michaud, Jenna Michaud, Jack Cafarelli and Charlie Dupuis. She is also survived by her five siblings, Richard Lamontagne and his wife Rita, Donald Lamontagne and his wife Sandra, Nancy Devoe and her husband Norman, Larry Lamontagne and his wife Denise, and Paul Lamontagne; as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Claire was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Gail Lamontagne.

Relatives and friends are invited to Claire’s visitation on WEDNESDAY, May 3rd from 5 until 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on THURSDAY, May 4th at 10 AM in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road, Hudson. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua.
