Claire D. Gagnon

Claire D. (Lagace) Gagnon, 86, of Hudson, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 8, 2020, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

Claire married the love of her life and best friend, Richard F. Gagnon, in 1960.

Together they loved to travel, watch the New England sports teams, plan and attend Navy ship reunions and spend the summers at their camp in Henniker, NH.

Claire loved to take photographs of her family, friends and lifetime adventures. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved all. She was an active member of the Hudson Grange for 72 years, where she participated in community service projects. For years she made and delivered birthday cards to residents of a local nursing home. Her favorite past time was knitting blankets and creating memorable photo albums of her life. Claire also sat on the prayer shawl committee at St. Johns XXIII of Hudson, NH and St. Theresa’s of Henniker, NH knitting for those in need.

Claire is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Gagnon and her four children; James Gagnon and his wife Doreen of Milford, Julie Hansen and her husband Todd of Hudson, Joyce Marquis and her husband Edward of Nashua, and Jaclyn Morse and her husband Sean of Hudson; Grandchildren, Robert, Amy, Kaleigh, Joshua, Jessica, Nicholas, Patrick and Riley; and her great grandchild, Brantley.

Claire was predeceased by her parents Euclide and Malvina (Boyer) Lagace, as well as her infant daughter Marie Gagnon.

Claire’s visitation will be held on MONDAY, January 13th from 4 until 8 PM at ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on TUESDAY, January 14th at 10 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 Library Street, Hudson, NH. Her interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua.
