David William Harmacek, 70, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 15, 2022. He is the beloved husband of Kathryn “Kathy” Jane (Oates) Harmacek with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.
David was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 21, 1951, and was the son of the late William Albert and Lois Natalie (Greene) Harmacek. He attended Grove City College in Pennsylvania and graduated with his bachelor’s degree. He continued his education and graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio with his Master’s degree.
For 40 years, he was self employed working as a consultant using Revelation Software. His two current clients are ProMedical of Lexington, MA and New England Water Heater of Littleton, MA.
In his free time, David loved his riding his motorcycle for the past 25 years and he was a member of the Yankee Beamers. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing, which was a hobby that led to him meeting his wife. David was a moto referee for USAC bicycle racing, most recently began woodworking where he would make beautiful pieces of furniture to enjoy and was a proud member of Nashua CERT. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family who he loved deeply.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Lee McDerby and her husband David of Manchester and Christine Marie Daneau and her husband Tom of Billerica, MA; his four grandchildren, Tyler Lloyd, Kaylana Jurnigan, Zack Daneau, and Xavier Jurnigan. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Harmacek of Round Rock, TX and his sister Diane M. Harmacek of Tampa, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
At David’s request, all services will be omitted. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
