David F. “Dave” Riccio, 70, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Dave was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on January 4, 1955 and was the son of the late William and Ann (Sapienza) Riccio. He received his education in the Lawrence School System and was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the class of 1973.
Dave began his career at William Barry in Lawrence. He became a builder and later spent many years in facilities maintenance at Andover Controls, where he was a dedicated and valued employee for many years. Known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail, he played a key role in ensuring that operations ran smoothly and efficiently. Most recently, Dave continued his work in the field at the YMCA in Methuen, Massachusetts, where he brought the same level of commitment and reliability to his role. Throughout his career, Dave was recognized not only for his technical skills but also for his dependability and willingness to help wherever he was needed. He loved the children he would see every day at the “Y” and loved when they called him ‘Mr. Dave’.
Dave had a deep passion for classic vehicles, especially his Harley motorcycle and his cherished 1965 Ford Mustang. He found joy in taking leisurely rides, attending car shows, and working on his own engines—a true enthusiast with a natural talent for mechanics. His skills extended beyond the garage, as he was equally gifted in home improvements and took pride in every project he tackled. Whether tuning an engine or fixing something around the house, Dave approached it with precision and care. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly and always put first.
He is survived by his two children, David Riccio of Pelham and Lynda Riccio and her significant other Michael Moisan of Sanford, Maine; his former spouse, Barbara Ricco of Pelham; as well as his nephews and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two siblings, William Riccio and Gail (LaCroix) Riccio.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dave’s visitation on WEDNESDAY, October 1st from 4 until 6 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home during his visitation at 5:45 PM. Cremation will follow.
