Diane L. Dyer, 77, died peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Villa Crest Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald J. Dyer with whom she shared 42 years of marriage prior to his passing on December 15, 2011.
Diane was born in Nashua on February 25, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Edmond W. and Irene (Berube) Fournier. She received her education in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of St. Louis de Gonzague High School with the class of 1964.
For many years she worked in the accounts payable departments for various companies including Merrillville Casket Co, Lowell Shoe in Hudson, and Veryfine in Westford, MA until her retirement.
In her free time, Diane enjoyed taking leisurely walks through Lincoln Park, and took great pride in maintaining her home. She was an avid Boston sports fan, rooting for the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. Diane and her daughter, Carrie, would take trips together to go bird watching which they both enjoyed greatly. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Shawn M. Dyer and his wife Lisa of Manchester and Carrie L. Secovich and her husband Mark of Nashua; her two grandchildren, Dominique and Amelie Secovich. She is also survived by her sister Pauline Laycock of Ashland, NH as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Donald and her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Claire Muldoon.
Relatives and friends are invited to Diane’s Funeral Mass at Parish of the Resurrection Church, 449 Broad Street, Nashua on THURSDAY, January 4th at 11 AM. Her interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane’s name to Parish of the Resurrection Church.
