Donald Girouard Obituary

Donald J. Girouard, 52, died unexpectedly in Amherst, NH on Sunday, May 17, 2022.

He was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on September 1, 1969, and is the son of Patricia I. (Depont) Girouard of Merrimack and the late Clarence J. Girouard. He was a graduate of Alvirne High School with the class of 1987.

Donald proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Kuwait War until he was honorably discharged 1992. During his enlistment, he was awarded “Marine of the Month” in September of 1988. This award recognizes superior marksmanship.

He was employed as a purchaser for Eastern Propane.

In his free time, Donald enjoyed golfing and loved being outdoors. Whenever he could set up a camp, he would. He had a deep love for animals, especially for his two dogs, Franklin and Bert. He spent many hours volunteering his time Sato Heart Rescue in Milford. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his friends and family.

In addition to his mother, Patricia, he is survived by his partner, Jen Kutschman of Amherst, his brother, Dean Edward Girouard of Manchester; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, several friends, and his co-veterans.

Relatives and friends are invited to Donald’s graveside service and presentation of military honors on WEDNESDAY, May 25th at 1:30 PM at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH. KINDLY MEET AT THE CEMETERY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald’s name to Sato Heart Rescue by visiting https://www.satoheartrescue.org/donate. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua.
