Douglas "Doug" Lunn Obituary

In Loving Memory of Douglas Lunn Passed Away May 20, 2026

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Douglas Lunn passed away on May 20, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, and friend whose presence touched countless lives.

Doug was a gifted chef whose passion for food and people defined his life. Over the years, he shared his talents at many beloved restaurants, including Villa Banca—his favorite—Café Pavone, The Brickhouse, Ninety-Nine, and Green Ridge Turkey Farm in his early days. Known for his tireless work ethic and pride in his craft, Doug built lasting friendships in the restaurant industry that became like family. His dedication, creativity, and love for his work left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working beside him.

Doug lived with a heart full of love and generosity. He loved fiercely and gave selflessly. With a heart of gold, he overcame many personal challenges and reconnected deeply with his faith. He found peace in long walks accompanied by his music and thoughts, moments that grounded him and brought him joy.

Family was the heart of Doug’s world. His wife was by his side through everything for more than 35 years, and especially through his 16-month cancer journey. He loved his family deeply and was endlessly proud of his two boys, his pride and joy. Meeting his granddaughter was one of his greatest goals during his illness, and achieving that brought him immense happiness. He loved teasing his nieces and nephews, sharing long talks on every topic imaginable, and showing off his vast store of “useless information” that made him unbeatable at Trivial Pursuit.

Doug’s journey through illness revealed his extraordinary strength, resilience, and unwavering positivity. His renewed faith, courage and determination inspired everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.

The family wants to thank the amazing medical staff at Massachusetts General Hospital for their caring and compassionate care throughout Doug’s journey. Their kindness and dedication brought comfort and hope during the most difficult times, and their support will never be forgotten.

Douglas leaves behind his wife Kerri Ann Lunn of Nashua NH; his sons Timothy Lunn of Nashua NH, Jeffrey Lunn and his wife Ashley of Nashua NH, his beautiful new granddaughter

Carsyn Nicole; his brothers Darren Lunn and wife Tara and Matthew Lunn and wife Anna; his parents Paul and Sandra Lunn of Pelham NH; his mother-in-law Marlene Courounis of Nashua NH; brother-in-laws Anthony Courounis and wife Cynthia, Timothy Courounis and wife Pamela, sister-in-laws Kelly Courounis, Jeni Leonard and husband Josh; aunts uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
