NASHUA- Edward W. “Nap” Suchocki, Jr., 84, died peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Community Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Rolande (Labbe) Suchocki.
Nappy was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on November 28, 1935 and was the son of the late Edward W. Suchocki Sr. and Rita (Dower) Suchocki.
He proudly served his country in the Massachusetts National Guard until he was honorably discharged.
For many years, Nappy was employed in the maintenance department at BB Rubber until his retirement.
In his free time, he umpired softball for over 50 years and was also an avid softball player. Nappy enjoyed gardening, nature and bird watching. He truly loved to discuss politics and playing the slot machines at casinos. He was also a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his loving family.
In addition to his wife, Rolande, he is survived by his children, Brenda Lavin and her fiancé Eric Workman of Lawrence, MA and Edward W. Suchocki III of Milford, NH; three grandchildren, Dr. Lindsey Lavin and her fiancé Moss Monaghan, Edward IV and William; his five sisters-in-law, Georgette Leveille of South Carolina, Lorraine and Aime Bariteau of Florida, Joan Labbe of Nashua, Ellen Labbe of Florida, and Lorette Labbe of Vermont; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nappy was predeceased by his brother Sandy Suchocki.
Relatives and friends are invited to Nappy’s Funeral Mass on TUESDAY, September 29th at 11 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nappy’s name to the American Red Cross, P. O. Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839 or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P. O. Box 98018, Washington, DC 20090-8018.
