Obituary

NASHUA- Egon C. Raak, 85, died peacefully Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson surrounded by his loving family. Egon is the beloved husband of Jeannine (Rousseau) Raak with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.

Egon was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 17, 1935 and was the son of the late Carl and Gertrude (Mutzke) Raak. He proudly served his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1963.

For many years, Egon was employed as a tool and die maker at Teradyne until his retirement.

Egon was a Vice President of the Hartford Saengerbund social club in Connecticut and he was also a past president for the Hudson Meadows Condo Association for four years. Egon enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. Above all, his most cherished time was spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Jeannine, he is survived by his two daughters, Evelyn Franklin and her husband Greg of Long Island, NY and Michele Dilley of Marlboro, MA; his three grandchildren, Kristopher, Kayla, and Meredith. He is also survived by his sister, Doris Herkner of Germany.

Relatives and friends are invited to Egon’s visitation on WEDNESDAY, March 11th from 11 AM until 1 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His funeral service will take place in the Funeral Home at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home Health and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. Burial will take place at the convenience of his family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, MA.
