Eileen Farrell passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Brooklyn on March 27, 1953, Eileen was the beloved daughter of Charles Farrell and Muriel (Champa) Farrell. She graduated from JFK High School in Bellmore, NY.
Eileen worked as a dedicated secretary in her early years but became a stay at home mom once she had children. When she went back to work, she worked in various capacities at Memorial Hospital (now known as Southern NH Medical Center). Most recently she worked as a postal clerk with the United States Postal Service until her retirement. She was known for her warm demeanor, reliability, and the quiet strength she brought to every role in her life.
In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, crocheting and going out to eat with friends. She loved spending time with her family, especially planning and taking special vacations with her grandchildren.
Eileen will be remembered for her kindness, sarcastic sense of humor, and the care she showed to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her loving family and her beloved pup, Snuggles.
Eileen is survived by her three daughters Jeannine Dumas & her husband Jonathan of Rye, NH; Coryn Lee Drown and her husband Jeremy of Hudson, NH; and Lisa Marie Gehlich and her boyfriend Josh Peterson of Spartanburg, SC; her five grandchildren Alyssa Mae Dumas, Natalie Bryce Dumas, Cayden James Dumas, Alexander Arthur Drown, and Benjamin Thomas Drown; her two sisters Kathleen Muriel Farrell of Millers, MD, and Virginia Walker of Radcliff, KY; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Farrell and two brothers-in-law, William Dunning and Raymond Walker.
Family and friends are invited to Eileen’s funeral mass on TUESDAY, August 19th at 10 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis Street, Nashua. For those who are not physically able to attend, Eileen’s Funeral Mass will be livestreamed via the St. Joseph the Worker Parish website, please visit https://www.stjoenash.org/ and click the “livestream” link in the bottom right corner of the page. Her interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
