Elaine (McCann) St. Jacques

Elaine M. St. Jacques, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021. She is the beloved wife of Hector St. Jacques with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.

Born on April 1, 1950 in Nashua, she was the daughter of the late Margaret E. (Smith) and Raymond G. McCann. She received her education in the Nashua School System and continued her education at Plymouth State College, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  

Elaine was a teacher for the Nashua School System, where she taught 1st grade for over 30 years. This is where she found her passion for education. All her students were treated and cared for as her own, always.

She enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband to various destinations, including Hawaii, Alaska, and cruising to any destination. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved anything Disney. Her favorite show was “I Love Lucy”. Elaine was also a dog lover who treasured her two dogs, Max and Emmitt. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, Hector, she is survived by her two brothers, Richard McCann and his wife Lucy of West Stewartstown, NH and Wayne McCann and his wife Carol of Florida: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to Elaine’s visitation on Wednesday, July 14th from 4 until 7 PM at Rochette Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 15th at 9 AM in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua. Interment to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine’s honor to Home, Health, and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
