Fayella Ann (Beaudette) Fee, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2023, after a short period of declining health at Edgewood Center in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Not long after graduating from St Ambrose school in Detroit, Fay met and married Preston Fee. They moved from Detroit to New Hampshire where they ultimately fulfilled most of their plans and dreams together through almost 60 years of marriage. They owned nice homes in Newton, Kingston and Chester New Hampshire.
Fayella spent most of her youth as a homemaker raising four children and doing home improvements, decorating, and gardening. She was a kind and loving mother to her four children and later her grandchildren. She was a wise, positive and a patient parent with a good heart.
She enjoyed her work as a bank teller and bookkeeper at Plaistow Bank from which she retired early in order to spend time with Preston when he retired in 1996. After which they fulfilled their long time dream of a grand tour of Alaska. They enjoyed nearly 20 years of the retired life together.
As her mother did, Fay enjoyed flower gardening and all types of wildlife, especially birds. She loved to walk in the woods and visit the north country and white mountains. She and Preston liked canoeing, boating, camping and fishing together which the did very often.
She was a skilled quiltmaker who knew everything about sewing, crafting, knitting and dolls. She was an avid reader and knowledgeable about just about any topic. She enjoyed time conversing with neighbors and friends and playing board games and cards together. Her friend Mary Dutton was always by her side until the last.
In the tradition of her father and grandfather Fayella was a lifelong Catholic and had belonged to Mother Mary in Newton where she introduced her children to the church.
Fayella (Fay) will be dearly missed by her four children and seven grandchildren, plus four great grandchildren as well as her brother Ted and all her extended family in Michigan, as well as her many friends.
She is predeceased by her two other brothers Floyd and Alan whom she dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to Fayella’s visitation on TUESDAY, December 5th from 4 until 6 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVIES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her interment will be held privately.
