Fernande T. Lavoie

Fernande T. Lavoie, 93, died peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2022.   Fernande Lavoie was born on June 16, 1929, to Dominique & Alma (Ouellette) Caron. She will now be reunited with her beloved husband, Henry Lavoie, whom she was predeceased by on November 8, 1975.

A lifelong resident of Nashua, NH, Fern was employed at Nashua City Hall in the Tax Collectors Office for 35 years.  She had a passion for knitting, cooking, gardening, and traveling.  After retiring, Fern would return to Florida where she would enjoy the warm weather, sites, and friends for the winter.  Fern volunteered her time at Holy Infant Jesus Church for Bean Suppers, Bingo, First Communion, and many other functions. She was also a Eucharistic Minister for the Catholic Church. Fern was a kind, gentle soul who will be missed by all whose lives were touched by her.

A great thank you goes to Carol Goldman of Hudson, NH, for being her guardian angel assuring she received the best care possible to enjoy her golden years.

Fern is survived by her sister, Lucienne Vaillancourt of Litchfield, NH., along with several loving nieces and nephews.   Fern is predeceased by her husband Henry Lavoie; her parents Dominique and Alma Caron; her siblings Andre Caron, Sr. Georgette Caron, CSC, Sr. Jeannette Caron, CSC, Lionel Caron, Dollard Caron, Lucien Caron, and Hector Caron and Henri Caron.

Services:  A private funeral mass and graveside service will be held for immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
