Frederick E. Pomeroy Jr.

Frederick E. Pomeroy, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was 81. Fred was born in Salem, Massachusetts.  He was the son of the late Frederick E. Pomeroy, Sr. and Elizabeth Pomeroy. He was also predeceased by his beloved pet, Pooh Bear.

Fred grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts, attended Arlington High School, and graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in business. He spent most of his life in sales positions. He lived in many states at the start of his career along the eastern United States before returning to New England. After he retired, Fred spent many winters in Mérida, Mexico.  He loved the area, history and people. He was a resident of Nashua, New Hampshire, at the time of his death.

Fred will be missed by his family and fondly remembered as always having a story to tell. He was an avid reader and loved to read about history, especially World War II.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family. One of his favorite visitors was his great-grand daughter, Cheri.                                  

Fred is survived by his daughters: Maureen L. Pomeroy and her husband, William G. Bushee; Joanne E. Pomeroy; and Diana K. Wilson, and her husband Peter Wilson. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jenna L. Pomeroy and Noah D. Bradford and his great-granddaughter, Cheri J. Pomeroy, and his three brothers. Robert Pomeroy, William Pomeroy and David Pomeroy along with many nephews and nieces.

The family is thankful to the kind thoughts and messages from all of their family and friends.  They also appreciate the care and kindness given to Fred by the staff at Premiere and Rehab Health Care and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

At Fred’s request, funeral services will be private. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Fred’s name to a non-profit organization that supports animal rescue.
