Gabriel Romeo Bernard Obituary

Gabriel Romeo Bernard, 85, of Nashua, passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2026. He was born on March 28, 1941, in Sainte-Clotilde-de-Beauce, Quebec, Canada, the son of the late Donat and Marie (Pomerleau) Bernard.

Gabriel was the beloved husband of Celine (Labbe) Bernard, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage filled with dedication, partnership, and family. He spent his entire working life in construction. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Outside of work, Gabriel found his greatest joy in time spent with his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He was an avid hockey fan and player in his younger years, carrying his love of the game throughout his life. He also enjoyed gardening, tending both flowers and vegetables with care and patience. In his earlier years, he loved fishing, appreciating the quiet and simplicity it offered.

Gabriel took great pride in his home, always working to maintain and improve it. He had a deep love for animals, especially his pet chickens. He will be remembered for his dedication to family, his hardworking nature, and the simple joys he embraced throughout his life.

In addition to his wife Celine, Gabriel is survived by his children Stephen Bernard of Nashua, Sandra Purington and her husband Michael of Londonderry, Jennyfer Thomas and her husband Nicholas of Nashua, and Melanie Stubbs and her husband Brian of Nashua; his grandchildren Alexandra Chandler and her husband Michael, Shawn-Thomas Everly, Natalee Thomas, Elise Thomas, Lea Stubbs, Samara Thomas, and Lucas Stubbs; his great grandchildren Theodora and Lincoln.
